Hidden Lakes

An easy paced low altitude short trek leads one to the hidden lakes of Lukham Tal and Harish Tal tucked away in an unseen corner of Kumaon. One can view the plains of Bhabhar and a wide range of the Himalaya from Lukham Devta Top. An excellent short winter trek option.

Nearest best railway connection is a 6 -7 hr rail journey from Delhi to Kathgodam. From there a 4 hr. hill road journey takes us to Kala-agar.

Kumaon Kingdom Trek

This trek takes you through the heart of Kumaon. The campsites are by the riverside, inside the dense Binsar forest and then facing amazing views of the Himalaya. Jageshwar, which is the last destination on this trek is known for its 10th- 14th century cluster of stone Shiva temples and a dense deodar forest, with some of the trees more than 500 years old.

Paidal to Quedal

This short weekend trek in the Central Himalaya countryside winds through dense magical silver fir forests, leading to crystal clear waterfalls in remote forests where you can take time out to take a dip in the cool waters. A perfect summer trek.

Corbett on Foot
