Personalized
Services:
The trekking groups are usually small
in number (15 - 21 students) ensuring
everyone enough space on the treks to
enjoy the solitude in the Himalayan wilderness.
Besides, a guide ratio of 1:3 provides
a more personalized service, ensuring
specific needs of each participant is
taken care of and a comforting sense of
security.
A Taste of Vibrant Himalayan Lifestyle:
Characteristic Himalayan villages dot
the treks. Typical architecture, a chance
to savour local food and overnight in
a village house with the warmth of the
local family hospitality make the trek
an experience.
WILDRIFT's Service Team: The guides,
porters and cooks at Wildrift belong to
the Himalayan region and have a wide experience
in trekking and climbing and a thorough
knowledge about the area and its challenges.
Also, they have been formally trained
in mountaineering and rock climbing at
the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering,
Uttarkashi and The Nainital Mountaineering
Club.
A Concern for Detail and Equipment:
All programmes are meticulously designed
and each detail worked out at the outset
itself. Preliminary briefing and a little
training assure a comfortable trek with
all its excitements. All equipment being
used on the treks is regularly updated
and checked for quality.
Safety and Emergency Evacuation:
Safety of all participants is our primary
concern. The staff on the trek is trained
in basic first aid and common high altitude
related medical problems. All treks are
registered with the local district administration.
Evacuation in emergencies is handled by
the Indian Air Force through the district
administration (District Magistrate) of
the relevant area. Communication and overland
rescue and evacuation of casualties are
a built-in part of the expedition plan.
