23 Dec: Syat – Ranikota – Semalkhet(20km)
Arrive at Camp Syat for lunch. Cycle through farmlands, explore kotadoon, on the undulating foothills, stop at Dabaka River, have hot Chai and Samosa at old Kumauni shop at Ranikota. Uphill on the dirt track till the Semalkhet, camp out at Semalkhet village.
24 Dec: Semalkhet _Patkot_Bhandarpani_ Teda village (30km)
Up hill through the rambling foothills with the Corbett Landsacpe spread out below, explore Shivalik forest & villages to reach Riyad Village. From there it’s more adventurous route for next .5km (some may need to drag the cycle downhill to reach Patkot, village is surrounded by dense forest in periphery of Corbett national park forest.
Stop at Bangajala near Bhandarpani for lunch, a small stream for a splash there. This area affords the best chance to see an elephants and other mammals as well as chirpy bird life.
After lunch its a downhill ride through dense forest, to reach Teda village. Camp at Teda village. Night trek.
25 Dec: Teda – Kyari – Syat(24km)
Biking through Pawalgarh conservation reserve, stop at Kosi Barrage after 4km for an opportunity to see migratory birds and Mahaseer in the Kosi dam. Ride cycle through forest to reach Kyari village, go to the Khichadi river, fun time, river side lunch.
Start Cycling from Kyari First 5km is a dirt forest track through dense forest to each Pawalgarh village where Jim Corbett shot the “Bachelor of Pawalgarh”. There is also a chance to see great hornbill (largest woodland bird) during Jungle Cycling in between Kyari to Pawalgarh, after Pawalgarh first 1km is uphill after that it’s gradual Cycling till Syat
Cost: Rs.9,000/- per cyclist (Camp – Camp).
- Mountain bikes (TREK – design3500), safety gear including helmets, knee/elbow caps and riding gloves.
- Meals on full board and all camping equipment including sleeping bags/mats.
- Support vehicle, first aid backups, bike repair expert, tool kit. Bird watching guide accompanies.
