Service Projects – SUPW

Projects involving ‘hands on’ developmental work in the village, where children work on projects that have durable outcomes. The projects are designed to converge the needs of the school education objectives with the developmental needs of the village.

The aim is to help students explore socially useful productive work in perspective of harmony between conservation and development and of dignity and purpose in various types of work.

In these programmes the children go to villages, forests and other natural habitations to do conservation and developmental work. These service projects originate in the village panchayat meetings and are based on the real developmental needs of the village. Apart from providing a fun-filled experience, each such exercise fosters qualities of self confidence, leadership, determination, dignity and purpose of labor and team spirit amongst its participants.
