Philosophy

Wildrift is strongly committed to working in sensitive ways with regard to environment, local people and other tourism stakeholders in the hills. Wildrift’s interest in training for corporate sector arises from these beliefs: - 1. Sensitization to meaningful concerns is a good basis for sustained behavioral changes and thereby of enduring training worth to corporate. We believe that individuals who care for and can creatively respond to substantive concerns are most likely to contribute quality inputs to their own organization on a continuing basis. 2. Learning in naturalistic settings helps people relate better to each other, and more importantly, to themselves. This informal, totally ‘non-office like’ setting, draws out the individual’s ‘true self’. 3. Real-life situations/issues (as opposed to simulated games) are more effective tools for learning, and create analogies easily transferable to real work situations. Real learning is achieved in an unfamiliar environment. 4. The most important determinant of a person’s future is what he or she thinks of himself/herself. The emphasis is on training for impact. Our HRD training programmes seek the convergence of meaningful concerns and behavioral training goals through the creative use of the resources afforded by Wildrift Campsites.
