Wildrift Adventures was founded in 1993
to create Himalayan explorations of personal discovery
designed to enrich understanding of our natural
environment, promote the spirit of adventure,
and provide a transforming and rejuvenating experience
to the traveller.
Adventure holiday camps are set at untouched and
picturesque locations in the Kumaon Himalayas
to give the visitors a close contact with nature.
The treks also are carefully chosen to explore
more remote and pristine areas of the Himalayas.
Our native guides share their personal insights
and knowledge about the region, know the less
travelled routes, and how to create natural and
intimate cross-cultural encounters. Our easy going
and non-intrusive style of holidays induce friendship
with local residents and camaraderie among fellow
travellers.
Wildrift believes that tourism promotion is a
vehicle for regional development and has incorporated
local development issues on its tourism promotion
agenda. It aims to sensitize the local hill people
to generate income through eco-friendly tourism,
and also the visitors to increase environmental
awareness for a more responsible approach while
conducting their holiday, programs, training,
etc.
Since our inception, we have broadened our product
portfolio and pioneered new approaches to travel,
which guarantees an experience that is qualitatively
superior. We are not travel agents selling packaged
adventure tours. We treat you like a friend and
personal travelling companion. The emphasis is
on comfort rather than ostentation. Informality
being our hallmark, we require an essential sense
of humour from all our clients.
