Wildrift
has carefully chosen the settings of its camps
at Saat-tal, Kyari (Corbett) and Mukteshwar
in the Kumaon Himalayas for the discerning
traveller. Which, quite naturally, means
they're not the kind of place frenzied holiday
makers throng to in droves.
However,
if you are not looking for bustling bazaars,
jostling malls, videos in every room, music
systems in every passing car, and other such
hill-station attractions you might consider
our camps quite charming.
For
what you'll find instead, is mountains, trees,
lakes, conifer-scented air, stars, birds, fish,
the friendly villager, the odd leopard and perhaps
the occasional ghost. And, if you're not content
to simply sit around surrounded by all of the
above, there's trekking, rock climbing, mountain
biking, kayaking, fishing and day dreaming.
